A War Bond Mitchell B25 named by students and staff from Emerson High School in Union, NJ. Their bond drive collected over $175,000 for the North American Aviation built medium bomber. This photo may well be another of the War Dept's phantom aircraft which only existed as a retouched image. However, what is interesting is the choice of camouflage scheme which is similar to that in use at the time in the Mediterranean Theatre - Italy, Sicily, Corsica.
The picture was displayed in the student newspaper "Altruist" in April 1944.
