A P-51 Mustang purchased by War Bonds bought by the citizens of Kahoka, Clark County, Missouri. A total of $75,000 was the required amount according to a statement by Claude Risinger, Chairman of Clark County War Finance Committee, published in the Kahoka Gazette-Herald in March 1943. A later issue of the same newspaper in November 43 displayed a photo of the pursuit fighter plane embellished with its title. No serial number can be seen and it is possible that this was a retouched photograph -- more details are sought.
