A War Bond drive in September 1943 saw the Armenian General Benevolent Union members purchase a total of $400,000 worth of bonds. A heavy bomber, probably a B17 Fortress or a B24 Liberator was dedicated with the title "Spirit of Armenia", according to a report in the Detroit Evening Times.

If you have any further information or photos of this aircraft or it dedication ceremony, please make contact.
