Sponsored by residents of Queens County, this B24D had its naming ceremony carried out at what is now LaGuardia Airport, New York on 15th September 1943. The occasion also marked the opening of the 3rd War Loan Drive after the community had raised a total of $218,000 to sponsor the plane's name. Those attending the dedication included Robert Tripp Ross, chairman of the War Loan Committee; George Spohrer, co-chairman of the "Buy-a-Bomber" Campaign; Mrs Gertrude McGrath; Mrs Helene Williams and Marie Sheridan.
