A war bond presentation aircraft purchased by the citizens of Oregon. It was later named as "Happy Warrior".

Flown initially by Col Hubert Zemke before being passed on to Col Harold "Bunny" Comstock. Zemke claimed two Fw190s destroyed and another damaged on 31st May 1944 while flying this plane. On 7th June two more Fw90s went down and another was claimed as damaged. Sometime after that the veteran Thunderbolt seems to have been passed along to Col Comstock.

A renovated P47 Thunderbolt using this aircraft's serial number is currently displayed with D-Day markings at Duxford Air Museum in England.
