Tow Tired

Assigned to the 83rd Troop Carrier Squadron this C47 took part in both D-Day operations. The first, code name "Detroit" released its glider over LZ-O at 0407hrs and later again over LZ-W at 2110hrs, code name "Elmira". Both missions were flown under the command of Lt Sargent although the aircraft was originally assigned to Lt E J Golden's crew.

"Tow Tired" survived hostilities and continued service after it was given the civil registration number F-RAZM.
