This early model B17E was assigned to Robert Seelos for training at Westover Field and was probably the earliest nose art done by Lee Kessler. When the group took possession of its brand new B17F models it was transferred to Tucson for more training duties and probably lost its personal title.

It passed through a succession of training establishments until finally written off in April 1943 and force landing.
