One of 60 Thunderbolts purchased by residents of Scarsdale, NY, during their second War Bond Drive. This P47 crashed at the 56th Fighter Group's base at Boxted on 14th January 1945 and was destroyed. Pilot Lt Russell Campbell is believed to have survived the incident.
