Purchased through War Bonds made by employees of the Williams Oil-o-Matic factory, Bloomington, New York. Assigned to 358th Fighter Group based at Raydon, England it was shot down by flak on 3 February 1945 while protecting the bombers on a massive raid on Berlin. Pilot was killed.
