R.O.N. refers to the abbreviation used by the USAAF for aircraft or personnel who "Remained Over Night" away from their home base. It is not known if this is one of the nose art designs Bill Horton sketched out while still with the 30TCS at Bergstrom AAB. If anyone can provide further information on this and perhaps even a better quality photo it would be greatly appreciated.
