The caricature was originally created by Lt Edmund Suor and then painted onto the aircraft by Sgt Tony Benson at Nadzab. As with many of the 89BS aircraft the name and character was based on the books and stories written by Damon Runyon. This A-20 Boston was flown by Lt Rix Rutland in New Guinea.
