301st Bomb Group, 32nd Bomb Squadron

Initially assigned to 301st Bomb Group on 11th January 1943, it's nose art was painted by Eugene Townsend. It was transferred to 2nd Bomb Group's 96th Squadron on 14th November but after surviving 62 combat missions it was shot down into the Adriatic on 11th March 1944. All of Lt Bill Peter's crew were killed.

During its combat career, it was based at a number of bases in North Africa and then Italy including Biskra, St Donat, Oudna, Bizerte and Amendola.
