Named after the popular singer and actress who topped the charts in the 1940s having made her debut on CBS Radio in 1939. Later she became a regular on the 'Time to Smile' show with Eddie Cantor and on several USO tours was featured with Glenn Miller and his Army Air Force Band. Dinah Shore also appeared in a number of movies including 'Follow the Boys' and 'Up in Arms'.

Unfortunately, nothing is yet known about the B26 Marauder which carried her name.
