Assigned to Capt Jack F Brown, 359th Fighter Squadron, this Mustang also carried to name "Bobby Socks" on the left side. Capt Brown had already served one tour of duty as a bomber pilot with 389th Bomb Group, completing 25 missions, before joining the 356th. He then flew sixty more missions and was credited with one enemy aircraft shot down and another destroyed on the ground.
