Also known as "Double Trouble", this B29 won the accolade of having flown the longest combat sortie of any Superfort.

On 26th June 1945, the crew of Thomas Bell flew a recon mission from Guam to Hokkaido, a distance of 4650 miles, on 23 hour flight which included 3 hours over the target.
