Horsa Glider

Catharina

British paratroopers chalk up a Mickey Mouse alongside other images on their Horsa glider as they mount up for the airborne invasion of France, D-Day 6th June 1944. Although this is not strictly a USAAF aircraft it was towed into battle by one of the Troop Carrier Groups of the 9th US Airforce.
