Chattanooga Choo Choo

It is thought that this C53 troop carrier served in the South West Pacific region, possibly with 19th Troop Carrier Squadron but further information is sought from anyone who can provide any details of its crew, missions or serial number.

The C53 was a specialised paratroop variant of the C-47 Skytrain and was referred to as the Sky Trooper.

The title originated from the song title played by the Glenn Miller Orchestra and featured in the movie 'Sun Valley Serenade, released in 1941 by 20th Century Fox.
